Ansökan öppen för IASPIS-residens i Bangalore samt Gästbostad i Paris

IASPIS, Konstnärsnämndens internationella program för bild- och formkonstnärer, utlyser nu ansökan till två internationella residens. Syftet med våra residens i utlandet är att stödja konstnärers möjligheter att skapa, utveckla och fördjupa kontakter i utlandet.

Residensen är för dig som har en konstnärlig praktik inom exempelvis bildkonst, fotografi, formgivning, konsthantverk, design, illustration, textilkonst eller arkitektur. Ansökningstiden är öppen fram till den 9 september 2025, kl. 14:00.

Residens i Bangalore, 1Shanthiroad

Residenset i Bangalore arrangeras i samarbete med 1Shanthiroad – en viktig plattform för samtida konst i Indien. Här får konstnärer möjlighet att arbeta i en dynamisk och mångfacetterad kontext, med närhet till konstnärer, curatorer och andra aktörer i den sydasiatiska konstscenen. Utöver en arbetsplats/ateljé får stipendiaten tillgång till bostad samt ett stipendium för att täcka kostnader för resa och uppehälle under vistelsen.

1Shanthiroad Studio/Gallery is located in the heart of Bangalore, a cosmopolitan city. Artists doing a residency at 1Shanthiroad find themselves surrounded by a plethora of inspirations and opportunities. From one of the best botanical gardens in the country, Lalbagh Botanical Garden, to the equally historical and culturally important Cubbon Park, artists with a botanical persuasion can immerse themselves in these green lungs of the city, and 1Shanthiroad makes it accessible with its proximity to these parks.

Bangalore has a renowned history of working with fabrics that date back to the time of Tipu Sultan. The city also has a rich history of crafts like weaving and quilting. Due to its proximity to Mysore, a city known for its silk and sericulture, Bangalore is a desirable destination for artists looking to work with fabrics and other materials.

1Shanthiroad Studio/Gallery has connections to artists and collectives that work with gender, sexuality, and new media technology. It is an incubation space for various ideas and facilitates residents’ collaborations with other artists.

Gästbostad i Paris, Svenska Institutet

Gästbostaden i Paris arrangeras i samarbete med Svenska institutet (SI). SI är en myndighet med uppdrag att öka omvärldens förtroende och intresse för Sverige samt att främja en demokratisk, rättvis och hållbar global utveckling. Svenska institutet i Paris, är en del av SI:s verksamhet. I lokalerna i Paris bedrivs programverksamhet som presenterar bland annat musik, litteratur, design och bildkonst. Stipendiaten får tillgång till bostad samt ett stipendium för att täcka kostnader för resa och uppehälle under vistelsen.
