Tubo

Hugo Therkelson and Tobias Ulfvebrand worked together for the first time during the making of the dance and puppeteering performance ”Vill ha hund” at Dockteatern Tittut. With similar experiences from the dance world and a shared interest in how to interact with music, they found a rewarding workflow. Later they were given the opportunity to develop their method and artistic style even further in the new piece ”Snö”, where Tobias and Hugo were dancing, choreographing and composing the music as a team. Both these productions were selected for the BIBU performing arts festival in 2020 and 2022.

The duo, currently existing under the name TUBO, is as of this residency initiating their third production together. ”ORO” is to become a dance and object based performance, reaching out to children age 10-13. Through experimenting with choreography, interactive sound design and dancing puppets, ”ORO”, is going to be performed by four dancers and is looking to get a premiere at Dansens Hus in the fall of 2023, or spring 2024.
