Nikima Jagudajev

Artist in residence, Stockholm, 1 March – 31 May 2024

Nikima Jagudajev is a U.S.-born, Austrian/Uzbek choreographer based in Brussels and New York. Nikima’s process-based and collaborative practice examines social relations as spatial connections, exploring how we come together in fulfilling and considerate ways. Using the choreography of play as a framework, a world is being built, incorporating elements such as food, clothing, live music, a deck of cards, and secrets. Nikima refers to this as ‘the playground,’ where performers and visitors are involved in an open-ended game.
