Applications open for IASPIS international residencies for visual and applied artists

Cove Park in Scotland, the Guest accommodation at the Swedish Institute in Paris, and 1Shanthiroad in Bangalore, India.

Applications are open until 9 September 2026 at 14:00 (CEST).

The Swedish Arts Grants Committee’s International Programme for Visual and Applied Artists, IASPIS, collaborates with a range of residency programmes around the world. In addition to a workspace or studio, the artist-in-residence will get access to housing and a stipend to cover travel and living expenses during their stay. The purpose of our residencies abroad is to support artists’ opportunities to create, develop and nurture their contacts outside Sweden.

Residency at Cove Park, Scotland

Cove Park is an international residency located in the Scottish countryside, one hour from Glasgow, with a view over Loch Long on the country’s west coast. The application is open to professional applied artists.

Residency at 1Shanthiroad, Bangalore

1Shanthiroad Studio/Gallery is located in the heart of the cosmopolitan city Bangalore and was founded 2003 by Suresh Jayaram. The residency is centrally located and is a meeting place for many professional practitioners in the city. The application is open to professional visual and applied artists.

Guest Apartment in Paris, Swedish Institute

A residency stay in the heart of the Marais district, offering artists the opportunity to develop their practice and establish connections within the French arts and cultural community. The application is open to professional visual and applied artists.
