Benj Gerdes will present his work and discuss his current research in Sweden, including efforts to examine the overlapping spatial and political networks of data storage and IT infrastructure, human migration, and the transportation of material goods.

Benj Gerdes is a Brooklyn, NY-based artist, writer and organizer working in film, video and other public formats, individually as well as collaboratively. He is interested in intersections of radical politics, knowledge production and popular imagination. His work often focuses on the affective and social consequences of economic and state regimes. He is currently the resident grant holder for the Iaspis International Artist Program in Gothenburg
