Application on paper

How to order paper applications and info on work samples.

We primarily recommend our e-service. With the e-service you have control over your application and can follow your case via My Pages. You can log in to the e-service even if you don’t have a Swedish BankID by using your e-mail and a code. If you are unable to apply digitally, you can send a paper application via post. If you choose to apply via paper it is important that you read the information below.

Important when sending a paper application

  • Write as clearly as possible when filling in the application form.
  • Check the type of work samples you should attach to your application.
  • Give yourself enough time – the mail can take several days to arrive. Your application must arrive at the Swedish Arts Grants Committee no later than the application deadline.

What type of work samples should I attach?

  • Work samples are mandatory. Choose recent samples that are representative of your art, preferably from the last two years. Keep in mind to choose both close-ups of your artwork as well as photos that showcase your artwork in a space.

    Attach a minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 images. The pictures may not be larger than A4-format.

    Your work samples will be scanned and shown digitally to the members of the decision-making group. Therefor we cannot recieve catalouges or images that are larger than A4. We can neither recieve images on a USB.

  • Work samples are mandatory. Choose recent samples that are representative with regards to both quality and repertoire. Audio samples may, for example, be a live recording, released material or other publicly presented work. The file(s) should contain a total of at least 20 minutes of music. Audio samples shall not be more than three years old.

    File format: mp3, with at least 320 kbit/s bitrate och 44,1 kHz sampling rate

    Total length of the files together: at least 20 minutes

    Compressed files should contain metadata information about:

    • artist (group name)
    • album (title published phonograms)
    • song title
    • genre
    • year
    • your role on the sound sample

    Add the files to a CD which you send in with your application

     

  • Work samples are mandatory and should not be more than 5 years old.

    Attach max one CD with film or max 10 images. Titel the folder or CD clearly with:

    • name
    • the grant you are applying for
    • titel
    • length

    You may also provide links to Vimeo, YouTube or a website as an extra attachement in the application form. Check that the links work and enter passwords where necessary.

  • Work samples are mandatory. Remember to clearly add your name and what application your work sample is for.

    If you are attaching files that exceed 20MB in total, you must use a file upload service. There are several free services online.

    • Amount of files: 1-2
    • Size: max 250MB in total, regardless of amount
    • File format: mp4 or mov

    Put the files on a CD that you send with the application.

     

     

  • Work samples are mandatory and should showcase your artistry or your project.

    Attach max one CD with 4 films. Titel the folder or CD clearly with:

    • name
    • the grant you are applying for
    • titel
    • length

    You may also provide links to Vimeo, YouTube or a website as an extra attachement in the application form. Check that the links work and enter passwords where necessary.
