Olli Piippo
Olli Piippo is a Finnish gallerist, curator, and former visual artist based in Helsinki. He is the director and owner of Helsinki Contemporary, one of Finland’s leading contemporary art galleries.
Piippo studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki and at Universität der Künste Berlin and spent over a decade working within the Berlin art scene.
He has been involved with Helsinki Contemporary since 2010, serving in various roles including board member and part of the artistic leadership team, before becoming CEO in 2022 and acquiring the gallery in 2024. His background as an artist continues to inform his approach as a gallerist, with a strong emphasis on long-term collaboration and supporting artists’ careers internationally.
