Luísa Santos

Luísa Santos holds a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies from the Humboldt & Viadrina School of Governance in Berlin and an M.A. in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art in London. She has been a Professor and Researcher in Cultural and Artistic Studies at the Faculty of Human Sciences of Universidade Católica Portuguesa since 2016. She has been an associate curator of the Listening Biennial (based in Berlin) since 2022 and a member of the advisory board of HANGAR in Lisbon since 2021.

Luísa Santos
An independent curator since 2009, Luísa Santos has conducted research in curatorial practices at Konstfack in Stockholm in 2013. Since 2019, she has been a research fellow at The European School of Governance (EUSG) in Berlin, and since 2023, a teaching fellow at the Europaeum in Oxford.
She is the artistic director of 4Cs: from Conflict to Conviviality through Creativity and Culture, Arctic Routes, Southern Ways, and Institution(ing)s. These experiences have enabled her to collaborate with the European Commission as an expert evaluator in 2024. Having authored numerous publications in the domains of art and society, Luísa Santos has been editing a book series on the politics of immaterial cultures with Routledge since 2021.
