Linus Gratte

Linus Gratte, Curator, Centre Pompidou in Paris. IASPIS expert visit in Gällivare, Kiruna and Stockholm 17–26 February 2026.

Linus Gratte is curator of performances, time-based art and public programs at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, a researcher and a dramaturg. He studied at Panthéon-Sorbonne, the École du Louvre, and Stockholm University of the Arts. His curatorial work lies at the intersection of dance, performance, visual art, and critical discourse and has been presented in Paris, France and internationally. At the Centre Pompidou, he conducts research through the Laboratoire d’histoire permanente, a long-term platform that combines workshops, lectures, publications and performative investigations.

His focus is on reactivating archives in contemporary terms, highlighting blind spots in dominant institutional narratives, diversifying perspectives, and engaging with the political implications of performative memory. Currently, Gratte is developing a new practice-based research platform within the Pompidou’s department of cultural creation. The platform is dedicated to the study of performance and time-based art, with a focus on supporting emerging and translocal artists, building archives, developing dramaturgical tools, and creating experimental performance exhibition formats.
