Jussi Koitela
IASPIS expert visit in Gothenburg, Lund and Malmö 18–21 November 2025
Jussi Koitela (born 1981) is currently the Director of the Art and Media Culture Agency M-Cult in Helsinki and works as an independent curator. From 2019 to 2024, he served as Head of Programme at Frame Contemporary Art Finland, where he co-curated the Rehearsing Hospitalities public programme with Yvonne Billimore. His curatorial practice engages with art, embodied collaborative research methods, hospitable and inclusive practices, and context-specific approaches, expressed through exhibitions, commissions, and public programming.

He has co-edited Rehearsing Hospitalities Companions 1–4 (Archive Books, 2019–2023) and The Pleasures We Choose (k.verlag, 2024) with Yvonne Billimore, as well as Falling In — Movements and Becoming in Curatorial Research with Dahlia El Broul and Ksenia Kaverina (Mousse Publishing, 2024). In 2015–2016, Koitela participated in the De Appel Curatorial Programme.
