Place: The library, HDK – Academy of Design and Crafts
Address: Kristinelundsgatan 6 – 8, Gothenburg, Sweden
Talk and gathering with designers and publishers Åbäke and Martino Gamper.

Dent-De-Leone has generously donated half their current library of books to the University of Gothenburg. The other half has been donated to Iaspis, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee's International Programme in Stockholm. The two-halves making a whole. On the occasion of the donation, you are welcome to join co-founders of Dent-De-Leone, Maki Suzuki from Åbäke and Martino Gamper for a gathering and talk about their publishing and practices.

Dent-De-Leone is a not for profit publishing hut operating since 2007.
Dent–De–Leone sees itself as being curious and any editorial line to be suspicious. Despite appearances Dent-De-Leone is not based in New Zealand and produces mostly books but
also objects and immaterial publications based on conversations. Dent–De–Leone is Martino Gamper, Gemma Holt, Kajsa Ståhl & Maki Suzuki.
The event is organised by HDK – Academy of Design and Crafts in collaboration with the Röhsska museet and Iaspis, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee's International Program.

Åbäke is a transdisciplinary graphic design collective, founded in 2000 by Patrick Lacey (UK), Benjamin Reichen (FR), Kajsa Ståhl (SE) and Maki Suzuki (FR) in London, England, after meeting at the Royal College of Art, UK. Much of their work concentrates on the social aspect of design and the strength that collaboration can bring to a project.

Martino Gamper (IT) lives and works in London. Starting as an apprentice with a furniture maker in Merano, Gamper went on to study sculpture under Michelangelo Pistoletto at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna. He completed a Masters in 2000 from the Royal College of Art. Working across design and art venues, Martino Gamper engages in a variety of projects from exhibition design, interior design, one-off commissions and the design of mass-produced products.
