Matylda Krzykowski, expert visit in Stockholm 24 - 28 March 2017
Matylda Krzykowski is a curator, designer, initiator and critic, focusing on collaborative and performative projects. Her exhibitions, formats and cultural productions have been internationally presented (Kunstgewerbemuseum Dresden, Vitra Design Museum Gallery, Chamber Gallery New York, Salone del Mobile Milan, amongst others) and she has given numerous lectures (SVA New York, Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem, Columbia GSAPP New York, Department of Design Dessau) and workshops worldwide (HfG Offenbach, HKB Bern, MA Curating Contemporary Design Kingston, amongst others). She is frequently invited to chair juries (Dutch Design Award, Outstanding Artist Award, Interieur Award Kortrijk, amongst others) and contribute writings in the cultural and commercial field (European Design Stories, PIN-UP, amongst others). Matylda Krzykowski holds a degree in design from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design Maastricht and is a former researcher of the Jan van Eyck Academy. Krzykowski is founding member and artistic director of Depot Basel, an organisation specialising on contemporary design, in Switzerland. She lives in Basel and London.
