The Iaspis programme carries out extensive, international networking activities in order to create and support various forms of collaboration between Swedish artists and foreign practitioners and other actors in the areas of visual art and design.
Each year the Iaspis programme invites a substantial number of foreign curators, critics and others to create possibilities for meetings with Swedish visual and design professionals.
The international experts are provided with tailor-made programmes which include visiting visual and design professionals who are active in Sweden as well as participating in public programmes with the aim of strengthening exchange and work opportunities for Swedish practitioners.
In planning and financing expert visits, the Iaspis programme may collaborate with other parties, including groups already involved in the studio residencies in Gothenburg, Malmö and Umeå.
Proposals for international experts can be submitted to the Swedish Arts Grants Committee throughout the year but at the latest on the following dates: February 2, April 25, August 30, October 27 . The Iaspis delegation decides which of the proposed experts will be invited.
It is possible for visual- and applied artists to mail firstname.lastname@example.org in order to express interest to meet a specific expert. Please attach link to your website and a short description of why this visit is interesting for you. Please note that it is the invited expert who makes the final selection for the visit programme.
