The talk I am talking about something happening right here, right now is part of Body of Work, a project developed by Lucie Fontaine in collaboration with Iaspis and based on the following topics: authorship, signature, creativity and labour.
Föreningen JA! // The YES! Association has once again invited Lee H. Jones to Sweden to discuss institutional critique in relation to the institution as a workplace at a time when space for critical reflection within the institution is continually diminished. Jones will present a report regarding the current situation and this will be the point of departure for a following discussion.
Lee H. Jones is a highly acclaimed organic intellectual, an activist thinker and a celebrated public speaker. Jones is also a well-known figure in the activist community in particular within the Movement. Founded in 2005, Föreningen JA! // The YES! Association is a separatist association for art workers whose practices and activities are informed by feminism with an intersectional perspective.
In parallel to the talk, Lucie Fontaine’s exhibition space in Stockholm, a satellite of the space she established in Milan in 2008, will host a solo exhibition by Romanian artist Alex Mirutziu.
Lucie Fontaine is in residence at Iaspis during spring 2012. For more information about Lucie Fontaine and Body of Work, please visit
