Technicolor—A Tragedy. Work in Progress showing
Konstnärsnämnden Studio, Maria skolgata 83, 2 tr, 19:00, January 8, 2010
In the Technicolor world people live Technicolor lives. The smiles are bright, the cars are fast and the TV is always on. Men are men and women are pretty. Even the monsters are friendly and eager to lend a helping hand. Everybody sings with voices that are strong and clean. The endings are happy, the tears full of joy and the little birds keep flying to the moon.
Harakiri Farmers, Kenneth Flak and Chazam invite you on a roller-coaster ride full of humor, thrill and reflection. In Technicolor—A Tragedy they create an explosive mixture of drama, dance, music and mime. The laughter, the horror, the daydream—it is all there, presented in exciting Panavision stage format. Come and join HaFa, Kenneth Flak and Chazam on the journey of a lifetime!
The performers’ collective behind Technicolor—A Tragedy has been in residence for four weeks at Konstnärsnämnden courtesy of a studio grant within the framework of the International Dance Programme. The Work in Progress showing is an important part in the further work with the performance, which will premiere in the fall season this year. After the showing there will be an after talk with the artists with the possibility for the audience to ask questions and give friendly or hostile feedback (both varieties are equally welcome).
