One of the Swedish Arts Grants Committee’s functions is - by monitoring and analysing - to increase and disseminate knowledge of the financial and social conditions of artists.
The Swedish Arts Grants Committee is obliged to
• publish annual statistics on the financial situation of artists, including grants and allowances awarded to individual artists by the Arts Grants Committee and other agencies.
• conduct and initiate studies on the conditions of artists.
• function as the unifying agency for monitoring the situation of artists in the present and future social security and tax systems.
